Today was a new experience for us. Ryan usually wakes up around 8ish, has some cereal and a bottle, and then about 9:30, he is fast asleep again. The daycare actually laughs because we are paying them to watch him sleep. When we go to pick him up at the end of the day, he typically has been awake for about 2 hours all day. Then we get him home, feed him and he is out again till the end of the night when we sometimes have to actually wake him for a bottle before he goes to bed for the night.
You would think that he would be up all day since he sleeps around 10-11 hours a night. Since he has acid reflux, he has to sleep sitting up in his bouncy chair (per the doctor). For some reason, if he is in the crib, he sleeps 6.5 hours tops, and in the chair, he sleeps much longer. Not sure why that is. Maybe he feels comfortable being more confined. Who knows. All I do know, is that we never want to put him back in the crib. We joke about a toddler size recliner.
This morning, he woke up at 8, had cereal from a spoon and some formula in the bottle, and then he was up ALL morning. He finally had another small bottle at 11:30 and passed out cold. It was awesome!!! I glimpse of days to come - days when we wished he slept all morning.
Have a great day.

Here's a glimpse into the even more distant future..... CJ can still sleep all morning, but generally on the week-end these day R & I are in bed and the boy is up all night watching TV, chatting online, playing on the computer. Sigh. I'd like to be able to confine him back to his crib again, and get wet toddler kisses.
Glad you guys are enjoying every moment.... it goes so quickly.
As a proud grandma, my unbaised opinion is that Ryan is gorgeous. We are loving every moment with him.
