Nana's 90th B-day

Hi Everyone,

Last weekend was a lot of fun for me! I got to spend some time with my Great Grandmother (GG)! She came up to visit from Florida for her 90th b-day.

On Saturday, we went to Sir John's in North White Plains for a b-day celebration for GG AND Nana-- A great time with family. Then GG came and spent several days up at our place in CT. We all loved having her over. Mommy especially, since GG was a huge help during mommy's very busy work week. I can't wait to see her again in Florida in August when we go down for a few days.

On a bad note, I was sick last week with a fever. I did not feel good all week. Luckliy, GG helped take great care of me and now I am finally back to my happy self.

Love to everyone,

Ryan

The hat and vest mommy knit me. Don't look at my shirt undershirt, Aunt Carol made me take a picture, even though I was not really dressed for the day and did not match.  Posted by Picasa

July 4th in VT

This weekend was awesome! I went on my first trip to VT. This is where mommy and daddy's ski club lodge is (Waitsfield, VT). We had a very eventful weekend, and I am exhausted. We were supposed to leave on Thursday, but daddy had a very high fever. So, we left Friday afternoon instead. I did very well in the car, I slept most of the 5 hour trip. When we got there, we got all unpacked and settled into the lodge. None of mommy and daddy's friends got there till very late since they all hit traffic coming from New Jersey.

Saturday, we went to a farmers market in the morning. We hung out with our friends, ate a picnic lunch with fresh bread from the market, listened to live music and had a great time. Then mommy went Mountain Biking for the first time with her friends, and I hung out with daddy under a shady tree. Mommy and Daddy were supposed to take turns on the trails, but daddy's ankle was still hurting him. She had a great time! Then after the biking, we all got cleaned up and went into Burlington to go to the Culinary Institute for dinner. It was great - even if I only got baby food.

Sunday, mommy and daddy took me to my first VT swimming hole. I had a lot of fun sitting in the water. It was really sunny out though, so we did not stay long. We went over to a picnic area and had lunch. Again...I only got the baby food - what an unfair world this is. Then we met up with some friends and went for ice cream. After that, it was home for a pot luck dinner and a night of fun at the lodge. Everyone played a dice game called LCR. I dont know what it was all about, but I do know that there was a lot of screaming and yelling left, right, keep and center!

Monday, we went to a parade and then to a few more swimming holes. That was a lot of fun! I even watched mommy jump off a 25ft cliff into the water. I can't wait till I can do that someday. Of course, daddy's ankle was still hurting so he did not jump (or so he says). Then we went with our friends to Stowe for dinner at Pie In The Sky and I went to my first movie (War of the Worlds). It was not very exciting, I slept the entire time.

On Tuesday, we packed up and it was back in the car for the long trip home. I did not sleep very much, but I was a really good baby and did not get too fussy.

Thanks to all my friends up in VT who helped take such good care of me. Maggie, Ron, CJ, Karen, Anthony, Vicky, Dave, Elena, Allison, Jeff, Brock, Cara, Especially Alice, who really helped out mommy and daddy a lot!

I can't wait for my next trip to VT in October for a whole week!

Love,
Ryan
