Mommy, Daddy and I love hiking together as a family.  Posted by Picasa

This is fun! Posted by Picasa

Sleeping during hiking is fun! Some day I may have neck problems because of this! Posted by Picasa

Talk about being able to sleep anywhere. Daddy swore to Mommy that I was ok like this even though Mommy really wanted to move me. Posted by Picasa

Finally...an update

I know, I know. Mommy has been so bad about posting new pics and info of me on the site. She promises to try and be better going forward, so check back to the site time to time.

What's new with Me?

Let's see. I have 8 teeth, plus 6 more coming in at the same time. I love chewing on hard toys to make it feel better.

I started singulair for my asthma, and it seems to be working. Aside from the typical green runny nose, I have not had any more major breathing issues and have been staying out of the ER and the Dr's offices. I also had all sorts of allergy testing done, and I have no allergies! My auto immune tests also came back positive, which means that I will grow out of all of these issues I have been having. That was great news!

I moved into the toddler room at school. I am such a big boy! I love being with the big kids. I sleep on a cot for nap time, I am learning to paint and play with the big kid toy, and I love playing outside on the playground. I even get to bring a lunchbox to school! Mommy and Daddy are having so much fun seeing me learn more and more each day. I even put my hands together when Mommy and I sing the itsy, bitsy spider. I love that!

I am still not really talking a whole lot. I say Dada all the time, which Mommy does not think is very fair! I only say Mama when I want something or when I am not feeling well. I say yes sometimes, and I have said bye-bye once or twice. Every once in a while I even say something that sounds exactly like an answer to a question, but mom and dad are just not sure.

I also wave hi and bye, blows kisses, and gives nice big open mouth kisses (mommy and daddy are still trying to figure out where the heck I learned that from). The other day I went to give daddy a kiss with my mouth open and tongue sticking out. Mommy laughed hysterically.

I am eating everything in site now, which makes meal time so much easier! I love taking baths and have discovered that bubble bath does not taste really good. I shocked Nana this weekend, when I decided that I was done and tried to step out of the tub myself.

I only take one nap a day now for a few hours, and still sleep about 12 hours a night! (mommy and daddy are very grateful for that!)

Mommy and Daddy have been hiking a lot trying to get ready for a memorial day backpacking trip (Nana and Grandpa are babysitting me). Since they need to work up to this trip, we have been hiking every weekend recently. I love being in the backpack! The first time we went this season, I stayed awake the entire 6.5 hours. Now, I can actually fall asleep, which looks really funny because I slump over the side of the carrier. (mommy has some pictures that she will upload later in the week).

Well, I think that catches everyone up. Hope you are all well, and that I get to see you all really soon.

Love,

Ryan

Skiing in Jay Peak, VT

Hi Everyone,

Last week Mommy and Daddy took me on my very first ski vacation in VT. We went to a mountain called Jay Peak. I did not get to see much of the mountain, but it looked pretty out the window of the condo. Mom and Dad went with a group of friends. It was so much fun seeing old friends and even meeting a few new ones.

During the days, Mommy and Daddy went out and skied (i heard that the skiing was amazing!!!)and I had a babysitter come in to the condo and take care of me. She was really nice. We played until 4pm when I got to see Mommy and Daddy again.

I also had my first snow experience. I hate to say it, but it was not a positive one. It took Mommy forever to get me all bundled up in my snowsuit that Nana Reva got me. I was not happy and cried most of the time. I just don't like to be that bundled up. Then we went outside with Daddy. He put me in the tabogon and pulled me around a bit. I was not really sure at that point if I liked it or not. Next they took me out of the tabogon and put me in the snow. That was when I realized for sure that I HATE snow. Don't like it at all, no way! I screamed and screamed until they picked me up and brought me inside. Maybe I will like it more next winter. Mommy and Daddy decided that next year if I like the snow, they are going to get me used skis and boots and have me play in the backyard in them. That way I can get used to it before I learn to ski the next year when I am 3.

After spending the week at Jay Peak, we went down to Waitsfield, VT. That is where the Ramapo ski club is that we have stayed at in the past. But this time since it is winter, we went to a new ski club as guests, Trailside. This club allows children to stay at the lodge. It is near Sugarbush Mountain, where Ramapo is right on Mad River Glen. We had a great time and I even met a new girl. She is 11 months old and really cute! Maybe we can date when I get older.

It was a great week, and I loved spending time with Mommy, Daddy and all their friends!

Otherwise, I am doing great. Starting to walk a lot more often. Eating just about anything. Although, I still hate green beans! I love to babble, wonder where I get that from? hehe.

Check out my pictures from the vacation below. Hope everyone is well. I will write again soon.

Love,

Ryan
